Rev. Nathaniel and Cherita Adawonu
New Harvest Missions International
Togo, West Africa

Nathaniel Adawonu was born in Togo, West Africa. Through his many years of experience as a church planter, pastor and national church leader in West Africa, Nathaniel has developed a passion for starting and strengthening national, gospel-centered, church planting movements especially among Muslims. His tremendous insights and experience in indigenous missions, combined with his heart for the lost and familiarity with different cultures, uniquely equips him for effective leadership in the West African church today.

Nathaniel is a graduate of Hope Institute of Theology, Accra, Ghana where he received training in pastoral studies. He also studied Inter-cultural and Missions in Denver, CO at the School of Missions as well as Trinity College in New Port Richey, FL. Nathaniel is a graduate of RTS, Orlando, FL. He was ordained by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Ghana/Togo. He has served in various mission organizations and ministries before founding New Harvest Missions International in the US in 2005.

Nathaniel’s wife, Cherita, remains very active in prayer ministry for NHMI. Her plate has been full being a wife and mom and helping with volunteer needs both in the U.S. and Togo in addition to working a part-time job locally. They are blessed with three children: Samuel, Rachel, and Nathaniel.

We are so grateful that you are partnering with us as we follow God’s call to ministry in Muslim West Africa. Whether through your prayers, a generous contribution, or traveling to West Africa for a short-term mission trip, your support has made a significant impact. Your ongoing prayers are crucial in paving the way for our ministry opportunities in 2024.
